First mouthfuls and spiders!
Getting ready for the first mouthful
Yeeeuuuggghhhh. What is that Mommy? Are you crazy?
B
arbara, Barry and little Arwen came to visit on their way to Windhoek from Seattle. We had a brunch under the big tree in our garden. Lovely!
Goodbye hugs
Such fun on my tummy!
The absolutely MASSIVE spider I found in our passage when Rein was away on business! Am determined not to make James scared of insects so very calmly called my Dad who loves all creatures big and small and helped us put Mr Baboon Spider in the garden.

Welcome back to the blogosphere, Jules! I missed your posts!
Thanks for the lovely pictures.
You know, I too am deeply affected by the crime and lack of respect in our lovely country. It is just so deep-seated and certainly here to stay. It makes you think hard about our children's future. But then there are so many awesome people from all spectrums that give you hope again. And they remind you that you *can* and probably should try to make a differenc here. Luckily we still have access to very good education, albeit at a very high price. I do believe that our children have a future here as there are so many opportunities, economically and socially. Probably not in the political domain though. Well, that's what I'd like to believe. In the mean time, how do we protect ourselves from the droves of criminals, those hardened people who don't even value their own lives? That is the question.
Sometimes I wonder why we ever left France? But, inspite of the crime, we do have a better life here. Or do we? I suppose you will always be torn in two once you've lived elsewhere that was also once your home.
So sorry to hear about your beloved pink cell phone. What a bummer!
How nice! I am so happy that Barbara and Barry and Arwen were able to visit you. The kids have become so big!!!!! Did they remember each other?
