Miserable...
So so angry with myself. Rein bought me a splendid new digital camera as a belated birthday gift. It was small enough to put into my bag so I could snap piccies whenever and not have to wait for the massive genius of the Canon!
Notice I said 'WAS'..... I dropped it DAMMIT!!! And it is kaput - totally stuffed. It had a cool touch screen to view the pics and that shattered. So I am just devastated.
Rein took it surprisingly well. 'My schnok,' he said, 'thank goodness you and my kids are safe. It's just a material possession.' Shoo - what a man!
Siza, our housekeeper, practically ripped her apron for me and said she always cries when things like that happen. It was actually quite sweet and comforting to hear that from her. ;)
So, I will now crawl into bed and try to dream pleasant thoughts and not about self flagellation!

Indeed, what a man! I know how you feel, but don't beat yourself up about it because if was an accident of course! Back to dragging the huge Canon along.
Ah no, that really sucks! It's awful when stuff like that happens, the mental 'nooooooo...!' when everything goes in slow motion. I had it when I dropped my spiffy new glasses into the lake...
Glad Rein took it well, though, and that Siza was there for tea and sympathy :)
On no Babe. URgh...it's horrible when something like that happens.
I feel for you. We drove up Lake Sammamish with Rose's camera on the roof, before it flew free on the highway, spinning across a few lanes of traffic.
Doh!
